HomeMy WebLinkAbout015 - 08/02/1929 - AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 5% REGISTERED WARRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4007 FOR THE PURCHASE OF STREET � � 1 ORDINANCE NO 15 1929 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTH0RI�1'3i G TFE ISSUANCE OF FIVE PER CENT REGISTERED WARRA14TS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4007 00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF STREET GRADER WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the annual appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1929, an emergency and unforeseen contingency has arisen, whereby it has become and is necessary to pay Four thousand seven ($4007 00) Dollars for the purchase of one Russell Caterpillar Patrol No 20 Street Grader and the public necessity requires an additional appropriation of public funds therefor, therefore BE IT ORDAINTD BY TFE CITY COUNCIL OF THD CITY OF FORS COLLINS Section 1 That there be and hereby is appropriated out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the years 1930, 19310 1932 and 1933 unless taken up prior thereto the suip of Four thousand seven ($4007 00) Dollars to be used to pay for one Russell Caterpillar Patrol No 20 Street Grader, and which said sum, when this ordinance takes effect shall be credited on the books of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer to Street Grader Fund, and registered five (5%) per cent warrants of the City shall be issued to cover said amount Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter -1- 1 � Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanijpous vote of all members of the City Col ncil at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 2nd day of August , A D 1929 omm s io of Safe�/ an x-0 icio Mayor ATTEST ,,nP City Clerk STATE OF COLORADO ) SS COUNTY OF LARITM ) I A J ROSENOW, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing ordinance con- sisting of two (2) sections was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day of August, A D 1929, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a dail*ewspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, as an emergency ordinance , in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on to-wit the 6th day of August , A D 1929 , said Ordinance No 15 was duly published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier a-ca"il newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said City this 6th day o gust A D 1929 City Clerk -2-
