EMEAS an emergency and unforeseen contingency
has arisen whereby it has become necessary to expend not to exceed
the sum of $ 4500 00 for the purchase of materials for the seal
coat in Consolidated Improvement Districts Nos 40 and 41, and the
public necessity requires an additional appropriation of public funds
therefor
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That there be and is hereby appropriated
out of the general revenues of the City of Fort Collins for the year
1937 and subsequent years unless taken up prior thereto, an amount not
exceeding 4500. 00 to be used for the completion of improve-
ments in Consolidated Improvement Districts, Nos 40 and 41, which said sum
shall be credited on the books of the City Clerk and City Treasurer to
Second Emergency Street Improvement Fund and registered warrants bearing
interest at the rate of not to exceed 4% per annum as may be fixed by the
City Treasurer shall be issued by the City to cover said amount
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the Public health, peace and
safety and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage under and by
virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the
City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adapted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the City Council at a regular adjourned meeting

Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the aforesaid
Ordinance, consisting of two (2) sections, was duly proposed and
read at length at a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council,
held on the 9th day of September, A D 1937, and was duly adopted
and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-Courier, a daily
newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins,
by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council as an
Emergency Ordinance in accordance with the provisions of Sections
6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter and thereafter and on
to-wit the 14th day of September A D 1937, said Ordinance
No 14 was duly published in the Tort Collins Express-Courier
a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins Colorado
