BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 302 1924
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO 91 1937 , RELA,TING TO THE BUILDING
CODE FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS
THEREUNDER, PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT B EREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 5 of Ordinance No 9 ,
1937 amending Section 8 of Ordinance No 30, 1924, be and the
same is hereby amended by striking therefrom the following
words to-wit
"The amounts to be charged for permits to
install construct , reconstruct repair enlarge or
widen driveways leading from or to a City Street ,
shall be $1 00 per lineal foot , and no driveway
leading from or to a City Street shall be installed
constructed reconstructed, repaired enlarged or
widened without the owner thereof first obtaining
a permit and paying the fee herein fixed "
Section 2 That Section 5 of Ordinance No 9 ,
1937 , amendine�section 8 of Ordinance No 300 1924, be and the
same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words
to-wit
"The amounts to be charged for permits to
install, construct , reconstruct , repair, enlarge or
widen driveways leading from or to a City Street ,
shall be $1 00 for a driveway of ten (10) lineal
feet or less, and 41 00 per lineal foot for each
lineal foot in excess of ten lineal feet , and no
driveway leading from or to a City Street shall be
installed constructed , reconstructed repaired
enlarged or widened without the owner thereof first
obtaining a permit and paying the fee herein fixed "
Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace
and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and

7 of Article IV of the City Charter
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the
unanimous vote of all members of the City Council at a regular
meeting held this 15th day of October , A D 1937

City of Fort Collins , do hereby certify and declare that the
foregoing Ordinance , consisting of three sections, was duly
proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City
Council, held on the 15th day of October, A D 1937 , and was
duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins Express-
Courier a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the
City of Fort Collins , by the unanimous vote of all members of
the City Council as an emergency ordinance , in accordance with
the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City
Charter, and thereafter and on to-wit the 19th day of October,
A D 1937 , said Ordinance No 16 was duly published in the
Fort Collins Express-Courier a daily newspaper published in
the City of Fort Collins , Colorado
