HomeMy WebLinkAbout023 - 10/29/1954 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 042, 1923, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 035, 1928, RELATING TO LICENSE FEES FO ORDINANCE NO 23 , 1954 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 42 OF 1923, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO 35, 1928, RELATING TO LICENSE FEES FOR AMUSEMENTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 35, 1928, amending Section 1 of Ordinance No 42 of 1923, be and the same is hereby further amended as follows By deleting the following words ana figures, to-wit "All theatres, opera houses, moving picture shows and public buildings where theatrical, sleight.. of-hand, musical or other entertainments shall be given, the proprietor, owner or manager shall, where the seating capacity is less than five hundred pay the sum of One hundred fifty ($150 00) Dollars per annum in advance, and where the seating capacity is five hundred or more shall pay the sum of Three hundred ($300 00) Dollars per annum in advance ", substituting therefor the following "All Theatres, opera houses, moving picture shows and public buildings where theatrical, sleight- of-hand, musical or other entertainments shall be given, the proprietor, owner or manager shall pay the sum of Seventy-five ($75 00) Dollars per annum in advance 11 Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter.
