MEADOW LARK SECOND AYNEXATIOh TO THE CITv OF FORT
COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED hITHIN THE LIMITS AND JLRIS
DICTION THEREOF PURSUANT TO PHE AUTHORITY CONTAIN--D IN
ARTICLE 11 CiAPTER 139 COLORADO REVISED STATUTES 1953

WHEREAS heretofore a written petition was presented to the Council

of re C_ty of Fort Collins in subs�antial compliance with t•e p-ovision or I
Article 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 by the owners of
I
more than fifty per cent (50%) of the area and who comprise the majority of
landowners residing in the area of land embraced in what is Known as the
I 1 Meadow Lark Second annexation to the City or Fort Collins wherein and

whereoy said petitioners petitioned the City of Fo-t Collins for annexation i
of all the territory embraced in what is known as the Meadow Lark Second
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins Colorado comprising the lands shown
it the plat thereon attached to said petition and more particularly described
as hereinafter set forth and
TtnEREAS said petition was accepted by the Council of the Cit) on
Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on February 11 1965 and
1v[H ;REAS notice for hearing on the 25th day of March 1965 on
an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and including he same
I wi hin tn- 1_mits and jurisdiction on the City of Fort Collins was duly

published as provided by law and
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Fort Collins hob found that the

petition and the docum..nrs thereto at .shed meet the requirements of Article
11 Chapte- 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 19D3 and
WHEREAS no proceedings nor an election to determine the ques ion
I of annexation have been initiated by written counter petition as provided bI

which is more particularly described as follows to wit
A portion of the East Half (Ek) of Section 26 Township
` 7 North Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian
Larimer County Colorado which considering the North
line of the East Half (EI) of said Section 26 as bearing
North 90 00 00 West and with all bearings contained
herein relative thereto and being further described as If
follows Commencing at the northwest corner of the
East Half (Ek) of said Section 26 thence South 00 15 00
East along the West line of said East Half (E' ) 410 00
feet to the southwest corner of Meadow Lark Annexation

to the City of Fort Collins and the True Point of Beginning
thence continuing South 00 15'00 East along the West
line of said East Half (Ek) 3 305 16 feet thence North
89 49 00 East 1 642 48 feet to a point on the West
Right-of-Way line of the Colorado Southern Railroad
thence along said Right-of-Way line by the following
courses North 00 50'30 East 1 116 00 feet South
89 09 30 East 50 00 feet North 00 50 30 East 2 184 96
feet to a point on the South line of said Meadow Lark
' Annexation thence North 90 00 00 West along said South
line 1 758 96 feet to the True Point of Beginning J

be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a part I
of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdiction
of the City of Fort Collins as an A Residential District and that the City

Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare certified copies

of this ordinance to each of which shall be attached a plat of said Meadow
Lark Second Annexation to the City of Fort Collins Colorado and shall
file a copy thereof in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County of

Larimer and another copy thereof in the office of the Clerk of the City of
Fort Collins together with a certified copy of said petition and another copy
of said petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the
State of Colorado

I Section 2 That in accepting and approving the plat of the Meadow
t
Lark Second Annexation to the City of Fort Collins the City of Fort
Collins does not assume obligations respecting the construction of water mains
seae- lines gas mains electric light lines or other services or utilities with

by the owners o the property within he limits of said additior in cotrpliance
with the teens and provis_ons of Chanter 15 Code of 0-dinances o° the Cit}
