BEING AN ORDINANCE SUBMITTING TO A.VOTE OF .THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS .THE .FOLLOWING .QUESTION: SHALL :THE SALE .OF
MALT,VINOUS AND/OR SPIRITUOUS LIQUORS :BE AUTHORIZED AS PROVIDED IN
.CHAPTER 75' ARTICLE:-2 :OF-THE'_COLORADO REVISED_ STATUTES 1963,. AS-AMENDED
WITHIN .THE CITY LIMITS .OF .THE`CITY OF FORT COLLINS, 'COLORADO? . . . . . .
WHEREAS, at a special election held in the City of Fort Collins on June 25,
1935, a majority of the persons voting voted to prohibit the sale of malt, vinous and/or
spirituous liquors in the City-of Fort Collins , and
.WHEREAS, a petition has heretofore been submitted requesting that the matter of
authorizing the sale of malt, vinous and/or spirituous liquors in the City be again placed
on the ballot at the general city election to be held on April 8; 1969, and
.WHEREAS, the- Board of Elections has made a careful check of said petition and
have certified to the City Council their finding that said petition was signed by more
than .15% of the total registered electors of the City. appearing upon the registration
books of the City, and
.WHEREAS, it appears that said petition complies with the requirements of the
Laws of the State of Colorado and that such question should be submitted to the persons
voting at the general City Election to be held on April 8, 1969.
NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY .THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY .OF FORT COLLINS:
. .THAT, there shall be submitted to the vote of the qualified electors at the
general election to'be. held on Tuesday, the 8th day of April , 1969,:the following question:
Shall the sale of malt, vinous and/or spirituous liquors be authorized as provided in
Chapter 75 Article 2 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963,. as amended, within the City
Limits of the City of Fort Collins , Colorado? . The Board of Elections is -hereby directed
to cause said question to be submitted on the ballot at said election.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this
20th day of February, A.D. , 1969,. and to be presented for final passage on the'.13th day
of .March, A.D. , 1969. .
