BEING AP? ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS COLORADO
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition, together with four prints of an annexation map,
was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins requesting the annexation of
certain territory more particularly described below to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado;
and
WHEREA.S, the City Council has found and determined and does hereby find and deter nine
that said petition is in substantial compliance with the provisions of Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1963, 0 137-21-6, as amended; and
4.TUMEAS, the owners of one hundred per cent of the property to be annexed have
petitioned for said,annexation; and
WHEREAS, not less than one-sixth of the perimeter of the area to be annexed is con-
tiguous with the City of Fort Collins and a community of interest exists between the
territory to_be annexed and the City of Fort Collins and the territory to be annexed is
urban or will be urbanized in the near future and such territory is integrated or is capable
of being integrated with the City of Fort Collins; and

WHEREAS, none of the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, 9 139-21-4, as
amended, are violated by the annexation of this territory to the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, no election is required under the provision of Colorado Revised Statutes,
19639 @ 139-21-6 (2) and no additional terms and conditions are to be imposed in connection
with this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the territory is eligible for annexation and the City Council desires to annex
the same to the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That all of the territory more particularly described as situate in the
County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit:
A portion of the East 1/2 of Section. 24, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the
Sixth P. M. , and considering the West line of..the Southeast 1/4 of said Section
24 as bearing N. .00°03'30" E. and with all bearings contained herein relative
thereto is contained within the boundary lines which begin at the center 1/4
corneryof said Section 24, and run thence N. 00003'30" E. 88.00 feet; thence
S. 72002' E. 226.50 feet; thence S. 88°47' E. 265.20 feet; thence S. 45*15' E.
16.00 feet; thence S. 35.32 ' E. 135.00 feet; thence S. 54000' E. 113.00 feet;
.thence S. 88*24' E. 208.00 feet; thence N. 83*15' E. 153.00 feet; thence N. 11'
05' E. 170.50 feet to a point on the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 24; thence N. 89045'30" E. 1580.30 feet along said North line to the
East 1/4 corner of said Section 24; thence S. 00°07' E. 1245.00 feet along the
East line of said Southeast 1/4; thence S. 89°53' W. 65.00 feet; thence along
the arc of a 617.78 foot radius curve to the right a distance of 256.26 feet,
the long chord of which curve bears N. 78°14' W. 254.43 feet; thence N. 66021'
W. 289.49 feet; thence along the .arc of a 1554.97 foot radius curve to the left
a distance of 967.52 feet, the long chord of which curve bears N. 84°10'30" W. '
951.98 feet; thence S. 78*00' W. 176.00 feet; thence along the arc of a 628.89
foot radius curve to the right a distance of 526.86 feet, the long chord of which
curve bears N. 78°0.0 ' W. 511.59 feet; thence N. 54000' W. 140.00 feet; thence
along the arc of a 308.30 foot radius curve to the left a distance of 193.40
feet, the long chord of which curve bears N. 71058'15" W. 190.24 feet; thence
N. 89056'30" W. 145.00 feet to a point on the West line of-the Southeast 1/4
of said Section 24; thence N. 00003'30" E. 758.27 feet along said West line to
the point of beginning, containing%58.6367 acres, more or less;
be and it hereby is annexed to the City of'Fort Collins and made a part of said -City,' to
be known as the Guard First Annexation to the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the City of
Fort Collins does not assume any obligations respecting the construction of water mains,
sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines, streets or any other services or utilities
in connection with the territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances
of the City of Fort Collins.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 15th
day.of May, A. D. 1969 , and to be presented for final passage on the 5th day of
June, A. D. 1969.
