BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-36 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS
AMENDED, RELATING TO BILLIARD AND POOL TABLES, BOWLING
ALLEYS, PIN AND BALL MACHINES, SHOOTING GALLERIES, STRIKING
MACHINES, RING GAMES, BALL AND PUPPET GAMES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 5-36 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting therefrom subsection (b) thereof and by substituting therefor the
following
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons who have been
granted a license under the provisions of Section 5-34 through 5-39 of this
ordinance, his or their clerk, agent or employee, to permit any person under
the age of eighteen (18) years except when accompanied by one of his parents
to play upon any billiard or pool table or other similar type of table or
implement, or to loiter about or frequent or be in any room or place where
there is kept such table or implement when such table or implement is Located
in premises which offer for sale fermented malt beverages or which are connected
by a passageway with any place offering for sale fermented malt beverages It
shall further be unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen (18) years
except when accompanied by a parent to play upon any such table or implement
located in the premises described above Any licensee having such tables or
implements located in a place selling fermented malt beverages or connected to
such place shall display at all times in a prominent place in such establishment
a printed card of a minimum height of fourteen inches (14 ) and width of eleven
inches (11 ) with each letter to be of a minimum height of one-half inch ( )
which shall read as follows
WARNING
IT IS ILLEGAL FOR ANY PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN (18)
YEARS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT TO BE IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT
Fines and imprisonment may be imposed by the courts for violating this provision
Section 2 That Section 5-36 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting therefrom subsection (d) thereof and by substituting therefor the
following
(d) It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen
(18) years except when accompanied by one of his parents to play uponi any pin
and ball machine or other similar machine kept for game or hire and it shall
be unlawful for any licensee hereunder, his or their clerk, agent or employee,
to permit any such minor to play upon any such machine
Section 3 That Section 5-36 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting therefrom subsection (f)
