ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE
BARTELS FIRST ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS AND JURIS-
DICTION THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN
ARTICLE 11 CHAPTER 139 COLORADO REVISED STATUTES 1953
WHEREAS heretofore a written petition was presented to the Council
of tre City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the provisions of
Art-cle 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 by the owners of
more than fifty per cent (507) of the area and who comprise the majority of
la-idowners residing in the area of land embraced in what is known as the
Bartels First Annexation to the City of Fort Collins wherein and
whereby said petitioners petitioned the City of Fort Collins for annexation
of all the territory embraced in what is known as the Bartels First
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins Colorado comprising the lands shown
in the plat thereof attached to said petition and more particularly described I{

WHEREAS said petition was accepted by the Council of the City of
Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on December 16, 1965, and
WHEREAS notice for hearing on the 27t" day of January, 1966, on I

an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and including the same
within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort Collins was duly
published as provided by law and
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that the I

petition and the documents thereto attached meet the requirements of Article
11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 and i
WHEREAS no proceedings for an election to determine the question
of annexation have been initiated by written counter-petition as provided by
law and no objection to annexation having been made
BE IT ORDAIN$D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That after due consideration of the petition for
annexation the petition for the annexation of all the territory in what is
known and described as the Bartels First Annexation to the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado, as shown by the plat thereof annexed to said petition and
which is more particularly described as follows, to-wit
A tract of land situate in the NEk of Section 26 Township
7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth P M , County of Larimer,
State of Colorado, which considering the North line of said
NEk as bearing N 89*30' W and with all bearings contained
herein relative thereto is contained within the boundary
lines which begin at a point which bears S 00*19 W 433 28
feet from the Northeast corner of said Section 26, said
point lying on the East Line of said NEk, and run thence N
89*30 W 70 00 feet to a point on the Westerly right of way
line of Colorado State Highway No 1, thence N 00 19' E
37 00 feet along said right of way line thence N 89*30 W
362 40 feet, thence N 00019' E 63 00 feet, thence N 89*30
W 462 23 feet to a point on the present City Limit Line of
The City of Fort Collins, Colorado, thence S 01 16 W 76 75
feet along said City Limit Line thence S 00050 30 W 718 45
feet along said City Limit Line thence S 89*30' E 902 22
feet to a point on the East line of said NEk, thence N 00 19
E 695 24 feet along said East line to the point of beginning,
be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a part of
the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdiction of
the City of Fort Collins within the following zoning districts that part of
the above described property more particularly described as follows
A tract of land situate in the NEk of Section 26, Township
7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth P M , County of
Larimer, State of Colorado, which considering the North
line of said NFL; as bearing N 89*30 W and with all
bearings contained herein relative thereto is contained
within the boundary lines which begin at a point which
bears S 00*19 W 433 28 feet and again N 89*30 W
70 00 feet and again N 00 19 E 37 00 feet and again
N 89*30 W 362 40 feet from the Northeast corner of
said Section 26 and run thence N 00*19 E 63 00 feet
thence N 89 30 W 362 40 feet to a point on the Easterly
right of way line of the Colorado and Southern Railroad,
thence S 01 18' W 235 27 feet along said Easterly right
of way line thence S 89 30 E 366 44 feet thence N
00 19 E 172 24 feet to the point of beginning
be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a part of
the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdiction of
the City of Fort Collins as an I-L Limited Industrial District, and that the
remainder of said property be accepted and approved and that said territory be
annexed and made a part of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the
limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort Collins as a C Commercial District
and that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare
certified copies of this ordinance, to each of which shall be attached a plat
of said Bartels First Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and
shall file a copy thereof in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County
of Larimer, and another copy thereof in theloffice of the Clerk of the City of
Fort Collins, together with a certified copy of said petition and another copy
of said petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the
State of Colorado
Section 2 That in accepting and approving the plat of the Bartels
First Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, the City of Fort Collins does not
assume obligations respecting the construction of water mains, sewer lines, gas
mains, electric light lines or other services or utilities with respect to
service of said addition, except as may be required and provided by the owners
of the property within the limits of said addition in compliance with the terms
and provisions of Chapter 15, Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local and public improvements
