BEING AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY
Or FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
141ERFAS heretofore a written petition together with four prints of
an annexation map was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins
-equesting the annexation of certain territory more particularly described
below to the City of Fort Collins Colorado and
WHEREAS the City Council has found and determined and does hereby
find and determine that said petition is in substantial compliance with the
provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes 1963 § 137-21-6, as amended, and
WHEREAS the owners of one hundred per cent of the property to be
annexed have petitioned for said annexation and
WHEREAS not less than one-sixth of the perimeter of the area to ae
annexed is contiguous with the City of Fort Collins and a community of interest
exists between the territory to be annexed and the City of Fort Collins anc the ,
territory to be annexed is urban or will be urbanized in the near future a-d
such er--ito-y is integrated or is capable of being integrated with the City
of Fort Collins and
WHEREAS, none of the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes 1963
§ 139-21-4 as amended, are violated by the annexation of this territory to the
City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS no election is required under the provision of Colorado
Revised Statutes 19630 s 139-21-6 (2) and no additional terms and conditions
are to be imposed in connection with this annexation and
WEE-LEAS the territory is eligible for annexation and the City Council
desires to o-nex the same to the City of Fort Collins
NO+d THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That all of the territory more particularly described as
situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit
Commencing at the Wit corner of Section 15, Township 7 North,
Range 69 West of the 6 ° P M thence N 00 32 W 113 80
feet to the true point of beginning, Ithence S 89 54 23 E
1330 05 feet, thence S 00 29 E 169 20 feet thence N
89 54 W 489 25 feet, thence S 00 32 E 47 00 feet,
thence N 89 54 23 W 840 feet to the true point of
beginning
be and t hereby is annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said
City to be known as the Whitaker South Taft Hill
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins
Section 2 That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort
Collins the City of Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting the
construction of water mains sewer lines, gas mains electric service lines
streets or any other services or utilities in connection with the territory
hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances of the City of Fort
Collirs
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 2nd day of June, A D 19660 and to be presented for
final passage on the 7t° day of July A D 1966
