HomeMy WebLinkAbout051 - 08/04/1966 - AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO CHILDRENS CENTERS ORDINANCE NO 51 , 19669 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 19-31 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be amended by adding the following use permitted to paragraph 1 of said Section, to-wits (10) Children's centers " Section 2 That Section 19-32 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be amended by adding the following use permitted to paragraph 1 of said Section, to-wit "(21) Children's centers " Section 3 That Section 19-35 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be amended by adding the following use permitted to paragraph 1 of said Section, to-wit children's centers Section 4 That Section 19-43 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be amended by adding the following paragraph under said Section, to-wit 5 Children's centers regulations For the purpose of this Ordinance, children s centers shall include care centers, day nurseries, nursery schools, pre-school nurseries, and play groups A minimum of 3,000 square feet of outdoor play area shall be provided for 15 children or fewer, with 200 square feet more being required for each additional child Such play area within or abutting any residential district shall be enclosed by a decorative solid wood fence or masonry wall or chain link fence with vegetation screening, densely planted The height of such fence shall be 4 feet or more, subject to compliance with Section 19-42-7 of this Ordinance Where access to pre-school nurseries is provided by other than local streets, an off-street vehicular bay or driveway shall be provided for purpose of loading and unloading children There shall be an indoor floor space reserved for school purposes of 40 square feet per child Such indoor floor space must be approved by the Chief Building Inspector Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 14th day of July, A D 1966, and to be presented for final passage on the 4th day of August, A D 1966 ayor ATTEST City C1 k Passed and adopted on final reading ttus 4°° day of August, A D 1966 )4 �-t -1F('Zjzj4 ayor ATTEST City Cle c -2-
