BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3302 OF THE BUILDING CODE
WHEREAS, Chapter 4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado, 1958, as amended, adopted the Building Code prepared by The International
Conference of Building Officials, 1958 addition, as the Building Code of the City
of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Section 3302 of said Building
Code
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 3302 of the Building Code be and the same hereby
is amended by adding thereto the following words and figures, to-wit
"Every sleeping room below the fourth floor in Groups H and I
Occupancies shall have at least one openable window to permit
emergency exit or rescue Such window shall have a sill height
of not more than forty-eight inches (48") above the floor and shall
provide not less than five square feet (5 sq ft.) of openable area
with no dimension less than twenty-four inches (24") "
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published
