APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF' $6,436 00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1957, TO
ACQUIRE THE WATER TRANSMISSION LINE OF THE SOUTHWEST WATER USERS
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has an opportunity
to acquire the water transmission line owned by the Southwest
Waters Users Association, and
WHEREAS, said water transmission line serves a consider-
able area, which is now within the boundaries of the City of Fott
Collins in addition to an area, which it is anticipated will soon
be annexed to the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it
will be advantageous to the City of Fort Collins that said water
transmission line be acquired by the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to provide
for the purchase price for said water transmission line as provided
for in Section 8, Article V of the City Charter for reason of the
unforeseen contingency arising after the passage of the 1957
appropriation ordinance
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That there be and there is hereby appropriated
for the expense of acquiring the water transmission line now owned
by the Southwest Water Users Association the sum of Six Thousand
Four Hundred Thirty-six Dollars ($6,436 00) , which said sum shall
be and is hereby transferred for said purpose out of the water
works improvement fund
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and
ordered published this 21st day of March, A D 1957, and to be
presented for final passage on April 4, A D 1957
