ACCEPTIDG AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF IR1AT IS KNOWN AS TILE
MILLEP'S FOOTHILLS ANNEXATION TO THE CILY OF FORT COLLINS
COLORADO AND AUTHORIZIDG TIIE ANNEXATION OF ALL TIE
TERRITORY EMBRACED IN SAID PLAT TO TIIE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS THE SAME TO BE MADE A PART OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED 11ITPIN THE LIMITS AND JURIS-
DICTION TIIEREOF PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN
ARTICLE 11 CHAPTER 139, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES 1953
IIHEREAS heretofore a written petition has been presented to
the Council of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with
the provisions of Article 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes
1953 by all the owners of the land embraced in what is knocm as the
Miller' s Foothills Annexation to the City of Fort Collins wherein and
whereby said petitioners and applicants petitioned the City of Fort Collins
for the annexation to the City of Fort Collins of all the territory em
braced in what is known as the Miller's Foothills Annexation to the City
of Fort Collins Colorado comprising the lands shown in the plat
thereof attached to said petition and more particularly described as
hereinafter set forth
I1171EREAS said petition was accepted by the Council of the City
of Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on the 13th day of
June A D 1957 and
IIIIEREAS notice for hearing on the 25th day of July A D
1957 on an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and in
cluding the same within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort
Collins was duly published as provided by law and
WHEREAS The Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that
the petition and the documents attached thereto meet the requirements of
Article 11 Chapter 139 Colorado Revised Statutes 1953 and
IIIIEREAS no proceedings for an election to determine the ques
tion of annexation have been initiated by written counter petition as
provided by law and no objection to annexation having been made

BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY Or FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That after due consideration of the petition for annex-
ation that the petition for the annexation of all the territory in what is
known and described as the Miller's Foothills Annexation to the City of Fort
Collins Colorado as shown by thelplat thereof annexed to said petition
and which is more particularly described as follows to wit
Part of the W'k of Section 15 Township 7 North Range 69 hest of
the 6th Principal Meridian Larimer County Colorado contained vitkln
boundary lines which considering the North line of said Section 15 as bear
ing due East and West and with all bearings herein relative thereto begin
at the West I corner of said Section 15 and run thence S 00 32' E 6 20 feet
to the true point or beginning
the-cei S 00 32' E 343 80 feet
thence S o9 54 E 1287 0 feet
thence N 00 32 1I 350 00 feet to the South line of the Na'k of
Section 15
thence S 89 54' E 51 50 feet along the South line of the N44
of said Section 15
thence N 00 26' 17 1024 55 feet more or less to a point 1617 6
Feet South o` the North line of the N7'k of said Section 15
thence 17 9 93 feet more or less to the West line of the SE4 of
the -V7 - of said Section 15
thence S 00 29 E 861 55 feet along the West line of SE'k
of the N7k of said Section 15
thence N09 54 U 489 25 feet
thence S 00 32' E 167 00 feet
thence Ilesterly 339 76 feet more or less to the true point of
beginning containing 12 318 acres more or less
be accepted and approved and that the said territory be annexed and made
a part of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and
jurisdiction thereof and that the City Clerk be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to prepare certified copies of this ordinance to each
of which shall be attached a plat of said Miller s Foothills Annexation to
the City of Fort Collins Colorado and shall file one copy thereof in
the office of the Clerk and recorder of the County of Larimer and another
copy thereof in the office of the Clerl of the City of Fort Collins to-
gether with a certified copy of the said petition and another copy of
said petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the
State of Colorado
Section 2 That in accepting and approving the plat of the
Miller s Foothills Annexation to the City of Fort Collins the City of Fort
Collins does not assume obligations respecting the construction of water
mains sewer lines gas mains electric light lines or other services or
utilities with respect to the service of said addition except as may be
required and provided by the owners of property within the limits of
said addition at their own expense and except as may be LniLiated by the
oNmers of said property within the limits of said addition in compliance/
with the terms and provisions of Ordinance No 7 1921 relating to
local and public improvements as amended
INTRODUCED considered favorable on first reading and ordered
published this 25th day of July A D 1957 and to be presented for
final passage on August 22 A D 1957
