HomeMy WebLinkAbout019 - 12/11/1953 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 007, 1920, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF THE USE, HANDLING, STORA ORDINANCE NO 19 1953 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 7, 1920) AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF THE USE, HANDLING, STORAGE AND SALE OF INFLAMMABLE LIQUID AND THE PRODUCTS THEREOF WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Ordinance No 7, 1920, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following, to-wit "Section 18a - Storage of Transport Vehicles and Tank Wagons "It shall be unlawful to store or cause to be stored any transport vehicle or any tank wagon in any part of the City of Fort Collins except within an "F" industrial district as defined by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fort Collins and the Zoning Map adopted pursuant thereto " "Section 18b - Parking or Stopping of Transport Vehicles or Tank Wagons "It shall be unlawful to stop or cause to be stopped any transport vehicle or tank wagon at any place within the City of Fort Collins except in an industrial "F" district, or for the purpose of making a delivery unless such stop shall be necessary for the emergency repairs to said transport vehicle or tank wagon, or in obedience to traffic regulations " "Section 18c - Tank Capacity of Tank Wagon "No tank wagon shall make delivery of inflammable liquids if such vehicle shall have a total tank capacity in excess of 1500 gallons, and provided further that the capacity of any one compartment thereof shall not exceed 600 gallons A tolerance of 10 percent shall be permitted for individual compartments but in no case shall the aggregate capacity of the combined tanks or compartments, including tolerance, exceed 1500 gallons " Section 2 Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed Section 3 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council, at a regular meeting held this llth day of December, 1953 7oftkissioner of barety and Ex 0 cio ayor ATTEST City er .2- STATE OF COLORADO) ) ss COUNTY OF LARDM) I.
