HomeMy WebLinkAbout004 - 04/05/1955 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 010, 1929, (ZONING ORDINANCE) AND CHANGING THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 91 TO ''D' x ORDINANCE NO. 4 1955 BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING 0 DIINA=O. 10, 1929, AS AMENDED, BEING AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND TO DIVIDE THE CITY INTO CERTAIN DISTRICTS, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND CHANGING THE EAST HALF (Lj) OF BLOCK 91, CITY OE FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, TO "D" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS That Ordinance No. 10 of the Series of 1929, as amended, being an emergency ordinance to regulate and restrict the locations of buildings and structures and the use of buildings and structures and land, the height and size of buildings and other structures, the area and dimensions of open space in building lots, the density of population, and for said purpose to divide the City into districts, and the zoning map adopted in connection therewithp be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section II, entitled "Zoning District Regulations," the following, to—wit Section 1. The zoning district map heretofore adopted and declared to be a part of this Ordinance shall be changed and amended and is hereby changed and amended so that the East half (E2) of Block 91, City of Fort Collins, Colorado, shall be taken from "C" residence district and put into and made a part of "D" commercial district. Section 2. That the City Engineer shall forthwith amend the original zoning district map in compliance with the amendments and changes herein established Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4* In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public health,-peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter. s Introduced, read at length and adopted by the nnan3mous vote of all the members of the City Council at a regular meeting held this lst day of April, A. HOUSE, City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby certify and declare that the foregoing Ordinance, consisting of four sections, was duly proposed and read at length at a regular meeting of the City Council, held on the lst day of April, A. D. 1955, and was duly adopted and ordered published in the Fort Collins, Coloradoan, a daily newspaper and the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins,, by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council as an emergency ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 6 and 7 of Article IV of the City Charter, and thereafter and on, to-wit the 5th day of April , A. D. 1955, said Ordinance No. 4 was duly published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.
