ORDINANCE NO. 429 1957
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 239 1957s RELATING TO THE ELEC-
TRICAL CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1, That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 23, 1957, be and the
same is hereby amended in the following particulars, to-wit
(a) by adding the following words to the first paragraph thereof,
"adopted in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 8, 1935",
(b) by deleting the following words in the second paragraph there-
of, "and with all future modifications thereof"
Section 2. That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 23, 1957, be and the
same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words as a new sub-
paragraph after Section 13 (a) (1), to-wit
"(2) Non-metallic sheathed cable may be used in single family
dwellings or two family dwellings (which shall include single family
dwellings with a basement apartment) outside the fire district for
all purposes"
Section 3 Section 15 of Ordinance No. 23, 19570 is hereby amended
by deleting the words "Permit System" and substituting therefor the words
"permanent system"
Section 4. Except as herein expressly modified and changed, the
provisions of Ordinance No. 23, 1957, are hereby ratified and affirmed.
Section 5. If any part or parts of this ordinance, or of Ordinance
No 23, 1957, which is hereby amended, are for any reason held to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such determination shall not affect the validity or con-
stitutionality of the remaining portions of this ordinance or of said Ordin-
ance No 23, 1957. The City Council hereby declares that it has passed this
ordinance and each part or parts thereof irrespective of the fact that any
one part or parts be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
