AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 24, 1954� RELATING TO THE
USE OF WATER FROM THE CITY WATER WORKS AND REGU-
LATING THE USE THEROF AND FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF
CHARGES THEREFORE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREif'1ITH AND
PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS HEREWITH AND DELCARING AN EMvMGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24, 1954, b-e
and the same is hereby amended by adding to the first paragraph of
said section the following words and figures to wit "plus an
assessment in the sum equal to one-and-one fourth (10 cents for
each square foot of the lot area fox�rhiah service is required".
Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council, the
assessment provided in Section 1 hereof is necessary for the actual
preservation of the public peace, health, safety or property And it
is therefor declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance
shall take effect upon its passage under and by virtue of the author-
ity contained in Section 6 and 7 of Article II of the City Charter.
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous
vote of all the members of the City Council at an adjoarne'd meeting
