AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 39, 19579 BEING AN ORDINANCE
FOR THE REGULATION OF DOGS IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1, That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 39, 1957, be and the
same is hereby amended by deleting the words and figures, "The dog license tax
shall be $2 00 for each male and spayed female and $2 00 for each unspayed fe-
male", substituting therefor the words and figures, "The dog license tax shall
be 8).00 for each male and spayed female and #5.00 for each unspayed female".
Section 2 In the opinion of the City Council, the within amend-
ing ordinance is necessary as a regulatory measure and that it is necessary
that such provision become effective immediately. Accordingly, in the opinion
of the City Council an emergency exists for the preservation of the public
health, peace and safety, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage
and publication under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6
and 7 of Article II of the City Charter.
