BEING AN ORDINANCE .AMENDING SECTION 21-2 OF THE CODE
OF.ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT CQLLINS, .,1958,
RELATING TO TAPPING CITY WATER MAIN$ _",-
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That Section 21-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, i958, be amended and changed by deleting therefrom
the first paragraph of said section and by substituting therefore the following
words and figures, to-wit:
"The tapping of the mains and the installation of all pipes,
fittings and appurtenances necessary for conveying water
from the main to the property line shall be done by the
Water Division at the expense of the owner. The cost of
each 5/8 inch tap or its equivalent shall be $15.00 plus
a trunk line assessment in the sum equal to lkF for 'each
square foot of the lot area for which 'service. is required;
provided, however, that for one»family residences said
assessment, together with the trunk line .sewer assessment
provided for in Section 21,45, of the Code of Ordinances,
shall not exceed the sum of $600.00 for one water and one
sewer tap; and provided further that whenever additional
water and sewer service is required for said lot,, the,/
additional charges that would have been made if the afore=
said limitation was not in force, shall, at the time of
acquiring said latter service, be paid, plus an additional
assessment 'for water- main construction costs in the sum
equal to lkp for each square foot of the lot"area for
which service 'is required, provided, however, that this
latter water main assessment shall not be charged in the
event that the water main connected to was installed at
the cost of some party other than 'the City of Fort
Collins."
Introduced, considered favorably on- first reading and ordered published
this 3rd day of May, A. D. 1962, to.be presented for final passage on the 24th
day of May, A. D. 1962.
