BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 84
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RELATING TO PEACE AND GOOD ORDER AND
PROHIBITING DISORDERLY CONDUCT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Section 84-1 of the Code Of the City of Fort
Collins be, and the some hereby is, amended by adding thereto
at the end thereof, an additional subsection F, to read as
follows.
"F. Disorderly Conduct.
(1) It is unlawful for any person to intentionally,
knowingly or recklessly
(a) Make a coarse and obviously offensive
utterance, gesture or display in a public
place when such utterance, gesture or
display causes injury or tends to invite
an immediate breach of the peace,
(b) Abuse or threaten a person in a public
place in an obviously offensive manner,
or
(c) Fight with another in a public place
except as a participant in a sporting
event
(2) It is an affirmative defense to prosecution
under part (b) of subsection (1) of this section
where the actor has significant provocation for
his abusive or threatening conduct "
