BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $10,000.00 OUT OF SURPLUS IN THE EQUIPMENT
FUND TO BE EXPENDED IN THE FISCAL YEAR 1969 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS:,. the City Council has approved the expenditure of funds for the purchase of
a dragline; and
WHEREAS, there are not sufficient funds appropriated in the Equipment Fund to pay the
cost of said dr-agline, but there are sufficient surplus funds in said Equipment Fund to
pay such cost; and

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate sufficient funds from the surplus
fund in the Equipment Fund to the Equipment Fund for expenditure during the year 1969.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated to be expended in the fiscal year 1969
the sum of $10,000.
Section 2. Said sum is hereby appropriated out of surplus in the Equipment Fund to
be placed in Account No. 90, being the Equipment Fund.
Section 3. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists for the actual
preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property in that it is necessary to
purchase said equipment during the fiscal year 1969 and sufficient funds must be
appropriated immediately to purchase said equipment, and this ordinance shall take effect
upon its passage under and by virtue of the authority contained in Sections 6 and 7 of
Article II of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins .
Introduced, read at length and adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the
City of Fort Collins City Council at a regular meeting held this 24th day of December,
A. D. 1969 .
