ORDINANCE NO 66 , 1965,
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE
THUNDERBIRD ESTATES TENTH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS AND JURIS-
DICTION THEREOF, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN
ARTICLE 11, CHAPTER 139, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES, 1953
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition was presented to the Council
of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the provisions of
Article 11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, by the owners of
more than fifty per cent (507) of the area and who comprise the majority of
landowners residing in the area of land embraced in what is known as the Thunder-
bird Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, wherein and
whereby said petitioners petitioned the City of Fort Collins for annexation
of all the territory embraced in what is known as the Thunderbird Estates Tenth
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, comprising the lands shown

in the plat thereof attached to said petition and more particularly described
as hereinafter set forth, and _

WHEREAS, said petition was accepted by the Council of the City of
Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on October 10, 1965, and
WHEREAS, notice for hearing on the 23rd day of December, 1965, on
an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and including the same
within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort Collins was duly
published as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that the
petition and the documents thereto attached meet the requirements of Article
11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, and
WHEREAS, no proceedings for an election to determine the question
of annexation have been initiated by written counter-petition as provided by

law and no objection to annexation having been made,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That after due consideration of the petition for
annexation, the petition for the annexation of all the territory in what is

known and described as the Thunderbird Estates/Annexation to the City of Fort

Collins, Colorado, as shown by the plat thereof annexed to said petition and
which is more particularly described as follows, to-wit
A part of the S� of the NWk of Section 25, Township 7 North Range 69
West of the 611 Principal Meridian-in the County of'Larimer, State of
Colorado, contained within the boundary-lines-as shown and considering
the North line of the said NA to bear,North 89045'00" East and with all
bearings contained herein relative thereto, Commencing at the Northwest
corner of said Section 25, thence N 89°45'00" East 1,320 10 feet to the '
Northeast corner of the NWk of the NW4 of-said Section 25, thence S 00'
08''25' East 1,318 39 feet to the-Southeast corner of Thunderbird Estates
Third Annexation, which point is also"the-Northeast corner of the SWk of j
the NWk of said Section 25,"the True Point of Beginning, thence N 89046'04" {
E along the North line of the S� of the NWk 157 00 feet, thence S 00'
00'00" E 1,318 43 feet to -a point on the-South line of the NWk, thence
S 89047'08" W along the said South line of the NWk 1,165 31 feet to a
point from which the Southwest corner of the NWk bears S 89°47'08" W
314 43 feet, thence N 00000'00" E 685 08 feet to the most Southwesterly
corner of Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation, thence along the outer
boundary of said Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation by the following
courses and distances N 90000'00" E- 80 00 feet, thence along the arc
of a curve to the left whose radius is 705 14 feet and whose chord bears
N 80000'00" E 244 89 feet, thence along the arc of a curve to the right
whose radius is 14 77 feet and whose chord bears S 68011'54" E 20 30 feet,
S 23011'54" E 279 05 feet, N 66048'06" E 50 00 feet, thence along the arc
of a curve to the left whose radius is 997 77 feet and whose chord bears N
62007'00" E 113 10 feet, N 58052'00" E 369 75 feet, thence along the arc
of a curve to the right whose radius is 15 00 feet and whose chord bears S 1
76008'00" E 21 21 feet, N 58052'00" E 188 13 feet to the Southerly corner of
Thunderbird Estates Ninth Annexation, thence N 09°40'30" West along the Easterly
boundary of said Thunderbird Estates Ninth Annexation, 509 89 feet to the
True Point of Beginning, I
be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a part {
of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdiction

of the City of Fort Collins as a "RL" Residence Dibtrict„ and that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare certified copies
of this ordinance, to each of which shall be attached a plat of said Thunderbird
Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and shall
file a copy thereof in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County of
Larimer, and another copy thereof in the office of the Clerk of the City of
Fort Collins, together with a certified copy of said petition, and another copy
of said petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the
State of Colorado
Section 2 That in accepting and approving the plat of the Thunderbird
Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, the City of Fort

Collins does not assume obligations respecting the construction of water mains, i
sewer lines, gas mains, electric light lines or other ear-fices or utilities with

respect to service of said addition, except as may be required and provided
by the owners of the property within the limits of said addition in compliance
with the terms and provisions of Chapter 15, Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local and public
improvements
