ORDINANCE NO. / , 1970,
BEING AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO

WHEREAS; heretofore a written petition, together with four prints of an annexation
map was filed with the City. Clerk of the City of Fort Collins requesting the annexation
of certain territory more particularly described below to the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City CG,Uncil has found and determined and does hereby find and determine
that said petition is in substantial compliance with the provisions of Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1963, s ;:L�.37-21-6, as amended; and

WHEREAS, the, ow.,ers .of one hundred per cent of the property to be annexed have
petitioned for said annexation; and
WHEREAS, not' less than one-sixth of the perimeter of the area to be annexed is con-
tiguous with the City of Fort Collins and a community of interest exists between the
territory to be annexed and the City of Fort Collins and the territory to be annexed is
urban or will be urbanized in the near future and such territory is integrated or is
capable of being integrated with the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, none of the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, § 139-21-4, as
amended, are violated by the annexation of this territory to the City 0'f Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, no election is required under the provision of Colorado Revised Statutes,
1963, § 139-21-6 (2) , and no additional terms and conditions are to be imposed in connection
with this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the territory is eligible for annexation and the City Council desires to annex
the same to the City of Fort Collins .
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1 , That all of the territory more particularly described as situate in the
County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit:
A tract of land situate in the North 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 20,
Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth P. M. , which considering the
East line of the said Northeast 1/4 as bearing N. 00*14' E. and with all
bearings contained herein relative thereto is contained within the boundary
lines which begin at the Southeast corner of the North 1/2 of the said North-
east 1/4, and run thence S. 86*23' W. 479.58 feet along the South line of the
North 1/2 of the said Northeast 1/4; thence N. 00114' E. 1021.38 feet; thence
N. 89055.' E. 148.50 feet; thence S. 00°14' W. 495.00 feet; thence S. 89°46'
E. 330.00 feet to a point on the East line of the said Northeast 1/4 which
bears S. 00014' W. 895.85 feet from the Northeast corner of said SEction 20;
thence along said East line S. 00*14' W. 495.00 feet to the point of begin-
ning, containing 7.3004 acres, more or less;
be and it hereby is annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said City, to
be known as the Foothills Annexation to the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the City of
Fort Collins does not assume any obligations respecting the construction of water mains,
sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines, streets or any other services or utilities
in connection with the territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances
of the City of Fort Collins .
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 9th
day of July, A. D. 1970, and to be presented for final passage on the 6th day of
August, .A. D. 1970.
