BEING 11 ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
WHEREAS, The City of Fort Collins desires to annex the property more particularly
described below; and
WHEREAS, a resolution setting forth .the intent of the City Council to annex said area
has heretofore beeni adopted; and
WHEREAS, after notice and hearipg as provided for in Sections 139-21-7 and 139-21-8,
Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, as amended, the City Council has entered its findings and
determinations that the proposed annexation complies with the provisions of Section 139-
21-4, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1 . That all of the territory more particularly described as situate in the
County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the East line of Section 26, Township 7 North, Range 69
West of the 6th P. M. , which bears N. 00' 00145" W. 1128.52 feet from the NE corner
of said Section 26; thence S. 00'00'45" E. along said East line, which 4s also the
{Vest boundary of the Thunderbird Eleventh Annexation to the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado, 376. 75 feet; thence Fast along said Annexation 314.68 feet to a point on
the boundary of the Thunderbird Eighth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado; thence South along the West boundaries of the Thunderbird Eighth and
Tenth Annexations, 1130. 22 feet to a point on the boundary of the Spencer First
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins; thence S. 89, 47108" W. along said Annexa-
tion 314.48 feet to the A corner of Section 26; thence S. 00'00' 07" W. along the
East line of said Section 26 and said Spencer First Annexation 1069.96 feet to a
point which bears N. 00000107" IV. 1571 . 27 feet from the SE corner of said Section
26; thence S. 88059'37" W. 49.32 feet; thence S. 89001114" W. 987.72 feet to a
point on the Nest right of way of the Colorado and Southern Railroad, said point
also being on the East boundary of the Meadow-Laxk Second Annexation to the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado; thence N. 01040101" E. along said right of way, 1137. 23
feet; thence S. 880191S9" E. along said right of way 50. 03 feet; thence N. 01040101"
E. along said right of way 1463.86 feet to a point on the boundary of Bartel 's First
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado; thence S. 8904.9152" E. along said
Annexation 910.89 feet to point of beginning; EXCEPT portion already within the City
limits of Fort. Collins, Colorado.
be and it hereby is annexed to .the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said City, to
be known as the South College First Annexation.
Section 2 . That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the City of
Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting the construction of water mains,
sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines, streets or any other services or utilities
in connection with territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances of
the City of Fort Collins .
Section 3 . Within ninety (90) days from the date this ordinance becomes effective, no
building permit shall be issued for any of the lands herein described unless said lands
have been zoned under the zoning ordinances of: the City.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 5th day
of November, A. D. 1970, and to be presented for final passage on the 25th day of
November A. D. 19 7Q
