OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE USE OF BARBED WIRE, SHARP POINTED FENCES AND ELECTRICALLY CHARGED FENCES AS PERMITTED UNDER THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: THAT Section 19-42.7(4) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: "(4). Except as permitted below, no barbed wire or other sharp pointed fence and no electrically charged fence shall be installed or used in any district. In the General Industrial (I-G) and Commercial (C) Zoning District, the Chief Building Inspector may.grant a revocable use permit which must be renewed every three years for installation -of security arms and barbed wire strands atop protective fences or walls, provided the following conditions are met: (a) The lowest strand of barbed wire is maintained at least ten feet (101) above the adjoining ground level outside the fence; and (b) Exterior area security lighting controlled by an automatic light level switch is installed and is maintained in good operating condition."
