BEING AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE WATER BOARD OF THE
CITY AND ADDING TO THE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF SUCH
BOARD MATTERS CONCERNING SEWAGE AND THE SEWAGE DIS-
POSAL SYSTEM OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, Section 7 of Article IX of the Charter of the City of
Fort Collins established the Water Board and set forth certain duties and
functions of said Board, and
WHEREAS, said Section further provides that said Board shall per-
form such other duties and functions and have such other powers as may be
provided by ordinance of the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is desirable
to extend the duties and functions of said Board to include sewage and the
sewage disposal system of the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That the duties and functions of the City Water
Board shall include advising the Council on all matters pertaining to
sewage and the sewage disposal system of the City
Section 2 In order to advise the Council on matters pertaining
to sewage and the sewage disposal system of the City, the Water Board is
empowered to make such studies as it may deem necessary and advisable and
to maintain contact with state and federal bodies having areas of concern
which affect the sewage ability in the City
Introduced , considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 1st day of June, A D 1972, and to be presented for final
passage on the 29th day of June, A D 1972
