BEING AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, heretofore, a written petition was filed with the City Clerk requesting
the annexation of certain territory to the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the necessary steps and held the hearings
as required by law and has determined that said territory is eligible for annexation and
should be annexed to the City of Fort Collins
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That all of the territory more particularly described as situate
in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit
A Tract of land situate in the SE 1/4 of Section 26 , and in the
NE 1/4 of Section 35 , Toivnship 7 North, Range 69 1Vest of the
6th P M , Larimer County , Colorado , 1ihich considering the East
line of the \1E 1/4 of said Section 35 as Dearing S 00° 29 ' E and
With all bearings contained herein relative thereto is contained
Within the boundary lines whicn begin at the SE corner of said
Section 26 , and run thence N 00023 ' 20" E 1344 66 feet along the
East lane of the SE 1/4 of said Section 26 , thence N 89*49140" 11
47 S9 feet to a point on the Nest right-of-way lane of U S Higni%ay
No . 287 , thence S 00000140" E 1344 66 feet along said 1Vest right-
of-way lane to a point on the South lane of the said SE 1/4 , thence
N. 89049140" 1V 554 94 feet along the N lane of the NE 1/4 of said
Section 35 , thence S O1004 ' 1V 330 00 feet , thence N 89*49140"
1V 300 00 feet to a point on the East line of the Colorado and
Southern Railroaa , thence S O1004 ' 1V 1028 30 feet , thence S 89°
SS '4S" E -929 87 feet to a point on the East lane of the NE 1/4
Of said Section 35 , thence N 00* 29 ' IV 1356 58 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 27 4536 acres more or less
be and it hereby is annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said City to be
known as The Horsetooth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins
Section 2 That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the
City of Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting the construction of water
mains, sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines, streets or any other services or
utilities in connection with the territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by
the ordinances of the City of Fort Collins
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this
27th day of July 19 72 and to be presented for final passage on the
17th day of ugust 19-72—
