BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 19-61 to 19-63, INCLUSIVE,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO,
1958, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT
OF PARK LANDS, ASSESSING A FEE TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF AC-
QUIRING AND DEVELOPING PARK LANDS AND ESTABLISHING A FUND FOR
THE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT OF PARK LANDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That Section 19-61 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended,
by inserting in the first sentence of said Section after the word "acquisition"
the following words, to-wit: "and development" and by inserting in the second
sentence of said Section after the word "acquiring", the following words, to-wit:
"and developing".
Section 2. That Section 19-62 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by deleting therefrom wherever the same appears in said Section, the figures
"$40.00" and by substituting therefor the following figures, to-wit: 11$195.00"
and by inserting in the last sentence of said Section after the word "acquisition"
the following words, to-wit: "and development".
Section 3. That Section 19-63 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 19S8, as amended, be and the same hereby is amended
by inserting after the second sentence of said Section the following sentence,
to-wit: "similarly, a credit on the fees to be charged under this ordinance may
be given on account of the development of lands dedicated for public park purposes
in such amount as may be negotiated for and agreed upon between the City and any
developer".
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published
this loth day of August, A.D. 1972, and to be presented for final passage on the
7th day of September, A.D. 1972.
