BEING AN 01DINANCE ANNFXING CERFAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OI FORT COLLINS COI ORADO
WHLREAS heretofore a written petition together with four prints of an annexation
map was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins requesting the annexation
of certain territory more paiticulaily described beloi to the City of Fort Collins
Colorado and
WHEREAS the City Council has found and determined and does hereby find and deternine
that said petition is in substantial compliance with the provisions of Colorado Revised
Statutes 1963 § 137 21 6 as amended and
WHFREAS the owners of one hundred per cent of the property to be annexed have
petitioned for said annexation and
WHEREAS not less than one sixth of the perimeter of the area to be annexed is con
tiguous with the City of Fort Collins and a community of interest exists between the
territory to be annexed and the City of Fort Collins and the territory to be annexed is
urban or will be urbanized in the near future and sucn territory is irtegrated or is
capable of being integrated with the City of Foit Collins and
WHEREAS none of the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes 1963 § 139 21 4 as
amended are violated by the annexation of this territory to the City of Fort Collins and
WHEREAS no election is reouu ed under the provision of Colorado Revised Statutes
1963 § 139 21 6 (2) and no additional terms and conditions are to be imposed in connection
with this annexation and
WHEREAS the territory is eligible for annexation and the City Council desires to an-iex
the same to the City of Fort Collins
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That all of the territory more paiticulaily described as situate in the
County of Larimer State of Colorado to wit
A portion of the Sz of Section 25 Township 7 North Range 69 West of the 6th
P M which considering the West line of the SW4 of said Section 25 as bearing
S 00 00145 E and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto is con
tained within the boundary lines which begin at a point which bears S 00 00'
45 E 1521 10 feet from the W4 corner of said Section 25 and run thence S 00
00145 E 1122 00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Section 25 thence N 89
45 30 E 421 79 feet along the South line of said Section 25 thence N 00 24'
45 W 592 00 feet thence S 89 02 E 527 84 feet thence S 77 54'30 E 78 95
feet thence S 63 17 E 196 06 feet thence S 77 05130 E 168 21 feet thence
N 85 26' E 58 98 feet thence N 67 37'30 E 143 55 feet thence S 85 14' E

distance of 378 81 feet the long chord of which curve bears N 22 43 10 W
368 95 feet thence North 200 00 feet thence S 89 45130 W 2655 77 feet to the
point of beginning containing 51 9465 acres more or less
be and it hereoy is annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said City to
be known as the Strachan Second Annexation to the City of Fort Collins
Section 2 That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins the City of
Fort Collins does not assume any obligations respecting the construction of water mains
sewer lines gas mains electric service lines streets or any other services or utilities
in connection with the territory hereb) annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances
of the City of Fort Collins
Introduced consideied favorably on first reading and ordered published this 5th
day of August A D 1971 and to be presented for final passage on the 26th day of
August A D 1971
