OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 93-6B OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS BY ADOPTING FINAL RASTER DRAINAGE
PLANS FOR THE DRY CREEK, EVERGREEN PARK, GREENBRIAR,
WEST VINE, CANAL IMPORTATION, AND SPRING CREEK
BASINS OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has, pursuant to
Section 93-1 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins , determined the
necessity of providing storm drainage lines and other facilities for the
drainage and control of floods and surface waters within the City, in order
that the health, property, safety and welfare of the City and its inhabi-
tants may be safeguarded and protected, and
WHEREAS, an integral part of said storm drainage system is the prep-
aration of Master Drainage Plans, and
WHEREAS, the Storm Drainage Board has analyzed, on a cost/benefit
basis where appropriate, Master Drainage Plans for the Dry Creek, Evergreen
Park, Greenbriar, West Vine, Canal Importation, and Spring Creek Basins and
has reviewed and made recommendations to the City Council that Master
Drainage Plans for the aforesaid basins be adopted, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
the adoption of the Master Drainage Plans for the Dry Creek, Evergreen
Park, Greenbriar, West Vine, Canal Importation, and Spring Creek Basins is
in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Section 93-6B of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be
repealed and reenacted to provide as follows
" ( B) Master Drainage Plans are hereby adopted by
reference and declared to be a part of this Chapter for
the following drainage basins of the City
(1 ) McClellands and P1ail Creek Major Drainageway Plan,
prepared by Cornell Consul ting ompany and
John S Griffith , P E , dated December, 1980
(2) Foothills Drainage Basin Drainage Master Plan,
prepared by Resource Consultants , Incdated
February, 1981
(3) Fox Meadows Basin Drainage Master Plan, prepared
y Resource Consultants, Inc ated February,
1981
(4) Dry Creek Drainageway Planning, prepared by
Gingery Associates, Inc , dated January, 1980
(5) Evergreen Park Basin Major Storm Drainage Study,
prepared by Engineering Professionals, Incdated
February, 1981
(6) Drainage Study of the Greenbriar Outfall Drainage
Basin, prepared by Engineering Professionals ,
Inc , dated April , 1980
(7) West Vine Drainage Basin Major Drainageway Plan,
prepared by Engineering Professionals, Inc , dated
December, 1980
(8) Diversion of Stormwater Runoff through Irrigation
Canals from Mu erry treet to Spring Creek ,
prepared by Resource Consul tants , Inc ated
July, 1980
(9) Spring Creek Drainageway Plan, prepared by Gingery
Associates, Inc , aated August, 1980
The aforesaid Master Drainage Plans are on file in the
Office of the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins
Furthermore, the City of Fort Collins may adopt addi-
tional Master Drainage Plans by reference and declare
the same to be a part of this Chapter, and copies of
such Master Drainage Plans shall be on file in the
Office of the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins "
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 5th day of October, 1982, and to be presented for final passage
on the 19th day of October, 1982
