HomeMy WebLinkAbout148 - 12/07/1982 - ASSESSING THE COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS IN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #74 ORDINANCE NO. 148, 1982 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BEING AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS IN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #74 AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT AND COLLECTION THEREOF WHEREAS, heretofore by appropriate ordinances and resolutions duly adopted by the Council of the City of Fort Collins, there was established Street Improvement District #74 for the purpose of installing curbs, gutters, street pavement, walks, street lighting and a water main on, along and under certain streets and alleys in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, all pursuant to Chapter 16 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinances and resolutions, said improve- ments have been installed and accepted by the City of Fort Collins, Colo- rado; and WHEREAS, upon accepting said improvements, the Council adopted the reports of the City Engineer and the Director of Finance respecting the costs of such improvements and the schedule of assessments prepared by the Director of Finance in order that notice be published as provided in Chapter 16 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, which said notice was duly published as herein provided; and WHEREAS , November 16 , 1982 , was the date set for the hearing of complaints and objections and the determinations of the same; and WHEREAS, on November 16, 1982, the. Council held a public hearing for said purposes; and WHEREAS, all complaints and objections in writing filed by property owners within the district have been considered by the Council . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1 . That the total costs of the improvements in Street Improvement District #74, including the costs of engineering, legal , publication, interest during construction and collection, to wit: $567,801 .81 less $418,252.11 of said cost to be paid by the City of Fort Collins.
