ORDINANCE NO 154 , 1982
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A REFERRED
MEASURE TO A VOTE OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, on October 19, 1982, the Council of the City of Fort Collins
passed, on second reading, Ordinance 113, 1982, which ordinance provides
for the imposition of an additional seventy-five hundredths percent ( 75%)
retail sales and use tax, and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 1982, petitions were submitted to the City
Clerk, said petitions asking that City Council repeal said Ordinance 113,
1982, or, in the alternative, submit the same to the qualified electors of
the City for a vote, and
WHEREAS, said petition has been verified and certified, meeting all
requirements as set forth in Article XVII of the City Charter, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XVII, Section 3 of the City Charter,
the City Council must now reconsider said Ordinance 113, 1982
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Ordinance No 113, 1982 of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins relating to the imposition of an additional seventy-five hun-
dredths percent ( 75%) retail sales and use tax shall be submitted to a
vote of the qualified electors of the City of Fort Collins at the General
City Election to be held in the several precincts of the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado on Tuesday, the 8th day of March, 1983 in substantially
the following form
ORDINANCE 113, 1982 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 19, 1982 IMPOSING AN
ADDITIONAL SEVENTY-FIVE HUNDREDTHS PERCENT ( 75%)
RETAIL SALES AND USE TAX IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
FOR THE ORDINANCE AGAINST THE ORDINANCE
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 23rd day of November, A D 1982, and to be presented for final
passage on the 7th day of December , A 1982
