OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY-OF FORT COLLINS
BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED
REVENUE AND PRIOR YEAR RESERVES IN THE SELF INSURANCE FUND
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article V, Sections 8 and 15, of the Charter of
the City of Fort Collins, the City Council may appropriate reserves accum-
ulated in prior years at any time during the year, and may appropriate
revenues which were not anticipated at the time of adoption of the annual
budget and which are a result of new revenue sources; and
WHEREAS, the Self Insurance Fund did not include the receipt and
disbursement of life insurance premiums as part of the 1982 Budget; and
WHEREAS, administrative costs in the Self Insurance Fund for 1982 are
greater than anticipated; and
WHEREAS, medical insurance claims for 1982 . are greater than antici-
pated; and
WHEREAS, the Self Insurance Fund has received unanticipated revenue
from other City operations to pay life insurance premiums and administra-
tive costs; and
WHEREAS, the Self Insurance Fund has prior year reserves available to
cover unanticipated medical insurance claims.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in 1982 from
unanticipated revenue in the Self Insurance Fund the sum of TWO HUNDRED
FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND , TEN DOLLARS ($257 ,010) for the payment of life
insurance premiums, administrative costs, and medical claims.
Introduced considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 7th day of December , A.D. , 1982, and to be presented for
final passage on the 21st ay—of December A.D. 1982•
