BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS
FROM RESERVES ON HAND FOR EXPENDITURE
DURING 1978
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore authorized
initiation of a project to extend Lemay Avenue northerly in
order to improve traffic circulation in the City and relieve
traffic congestion on other streets; and
WHEREAS, the Administration estimates that the sum of
$120, 000.00 will be expended on this project in 1978, and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of such funds was not anticipated
at the time of preparation of the annual budget for 1978 and
accordingly such funds were not appropriated for expenditure
in 1978, and
WHEREAS, the City has surplus funds on hand consisting
of reserves accumulated in prior years which the Council can
authorize expending for such purpose pursuant to Section 8,
Article V of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the sum of $120, 000. 00 is hereby
appropriated from surplus consisting of reserves accumulated
in prior years for expenditure during 1978 on the project to
extend Lemay Avenue northerly from its intersection with
Riverside Drive
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and
ordered published this 3rd day of January, A D. 1978, and to
be presented for final passage on the 17th day of January,
