BEING AN ORDINACE AMENDING SECTION 118
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
PROVIDING FOR AQUARIUM SHOP USES IN THE
B-L, LIMITED BUSINESS ZONING DISTRICT AND
PET SHOP USES IN THE B-0, GENERAL BUSINESS
AND C, COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICTS
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That §118-11 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended, by adding additional
definitions thereto, in appropriate alphabetical order, as follows
"AQUARIUM SHOP - A retail shop in which the prin-
cipal business of the shop is the sale of fish
The sale of rodents weighing less than ten (10)
pounds, as well as the sale of related equipment
and food shall be allowed as accessory uses to
such shop "
"FULLLINE PET SHOP - A retail shop in which the
principal business of the shop is the sale of animals
for pets
Section 2 That §118-61A of the Code of the City of
Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows
"A Uses permitted The following uses shall be per-
mitted in the B-L Limited Business District,
provided that any use shall be separated from
abutting residential zoning districts by a solid
fence of wall at least six (6) feet in height,
and further provided that any use shall comply
with the landscape requirements set forth in
Subsection F below
(1) Banks, savings and loan and finance companies
(2) Standard and fast-food restaurants
(3) Indoor theaters
(4) Membership clubs
(5) Offices and clinics
(6) Personal service shops
(7) Retail stores
(8) Laundry and dry-cleaning outlets whose
business consists primarily of serving
retail customers
(9) Limited indoor recreation uses, provided that
all such activities are conducted entirely
within an enclosed structure
(10) Small animal veterinary clinics
(11) Aquarium shops
(12) Public utility installation, excluding
repair and storage facilities
(13) Accessory buildings and uses "
Section 3 That §118-63A (21) of the Code of the City of
Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows
"(21) Full-line pet shops not containing facilities
for boarding animals "
Section 4 That §118-70A (17) of the Code of the City of
Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows
"(17) Full-line pet shops and veterinary hospitals ^
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
