RELATING TO THE USE OF PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS
PLAZAS AND MALLS AND REGULATING SIDEWALK SALES, STREET
VENDORS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
WHEREAS, the City maintains numerous streets, alley , sidewalks,
plazas, and pedestrian malls which are amenable to joint uses by street and
sidewalk vendors and for special events, and
WHEREAS, the City has received numerous reques for permission
to utilize said public ways for special purposes, and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Council of he City of Fort
Collins expanded uses of these public ways can be ha om ous with the
principal use of said facilities given proper regul ion and authorization
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TY OF FORT COLLINS
SECTION 1 That the City Manager b , and he hereby is, authorized
and directed to promulgate rules and regulat ns governing the use of public
streets, sidewalks, plazas and malls by st t vendors, adjacent merchants,
and other persons for special events and issue appropriate permits for
said uses
SECTION 2 That said rule and regulations shall be designed to
promote the full utilization of publ streets, sidewalks, plazas, and malls
consistent with the public interest and welfare and with the rights and
interests of adjacent merchants
Introduced, consider favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this day of A D 1978, and to be presented for final
