ORDINANCE NO 2 , 1979
BEING AN ORDINANCE 41ENDING SECTION 9-8
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AS IT RELATES TO THE OFFICIAL PRECINCT
MAP OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That Section 9-8 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
be, and it hereby is, amended by the deletion of the following sentence
"The boundaries of the election precincts, as herein-
after created in the Citv of Fort Collins, Colorado,
are hereby fixed and established as shown on the map
entitled "Precinct Map" dated December 13, 1977, which
map accompanies this chapter and is hereby made a part
hereof "
and the substitution thereof with the following
"The boundaries of the election precincts as herein
created in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, are
hereby fixed and established as shown on the map
entitled "Precinct Map" dated December 20, 1978, which
map accompanies this chapter and is hereby made a part
hereof "
Section 2 That in order to comply with State statutes relating to
the changing of election precincts, it is necessary that this Ordinance
take effect more than ninety (90) days preceding the next general election
of the City of Fort Collins Therefore, City Council hereby determines
that an emergency exists requiring the immediate passage of this Ordinance,
and this Ordinance is, therefore, enacted pursuant to Section 6 of HrLicle
II of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins as an emergency ordinance and
shall be effective upon its passage
Introduced, considered favorably by 7 members of the City Council ,
finally passed as an Emergency Ordinance, and e ed published this 2nd
day of January, A D 1979
