OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 007, 1975 RELATING TO
THE SECURITY OF BUILDINGS AND BUSINESSES IN THE CITY
WHEREAS, in March 1975, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 007, 1975, requiring
the.City Police Department to maintain a register relating to all commercial buildings in the City;
and .
WHEREAS,said Ordinance also required all owners of commercial buildings and business
establishments to cooperate with the Police Department in furnishing the necessary information to
maintain the register; and
WHEREAS,this register has not been maintained by Police Services for many years,and has
instead been replaced by information gathered by the Poudre Fire Authority during its inspection of
commercial buildings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal Ordinance No. 007, 1975, which has been
rendered obsolete by a shift in responsibilities and improved methods for gathering the desired
information.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Ordinance No. 007, 1975 is repealed in its entirety.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 3rd day of
November, A.D. 2009, and to be presented for final passage on the 17th day of November, A.D.
2009.
