OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH FAIRWAYS MARKETING
CORPORATION FOR FAIRWAY MARKERS AT
COLLINDALE GOLF COURSE
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins owns and operates the. Collindale
Golf Course for the use and benefit of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Fairways Marketing Corporation is in the business of market-
ing, advertising and promoting distinctive recreational signs and display
advertising; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of utilizing Fairways Marketing Corpora-
tion' s signs and advertising to enhance the depiction of its fairways and
golf course layout; and
WHEREAS , Fairways Marketing Corporation is mutually desirous of
enhancing the golf course' s fairways and layout; and
WHEREAS, it is also in the financial interests of the City to contract
for the installation and maintenance of fairway markers at Collindale Golf
Course; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 34 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins provides that, "no contract for service shall be made by the City
for a longer period than two years, unless authorized by ordinance,. . .
and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement for fairway markers at Collindale Golf
Course is for a five (5) year period with a five (5) year renewal option.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Fairways Marketing Corporation for the purpose of
installing and maintaining fairway markers at Collindale Golf Course for a
period of five (5) years with a five (5) year renewal option.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 20th day of December, A.D. , 1983, and to be presented for final
passage on the 3rd day of January, A.D. , 1984.
