HomeMy WebLinkAbout136 - 10/06/1981 - APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE SELF-INSURANCE FUND ORDINANCE NO 136 , 1981 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UNANTICIPATED REVENUE IN THE SELF-INSURANCE FUND WHEREAS, Article V. Section 15, of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins permits the City Council to appropriate unanticipated revenue at any time during the year in which such revenue is received, and WHEREAS, effective October 1, 1981, the City has established a Self- Insurance Fund for the administration of the employee insurance benefit, and WHEREAS, the City has received $125,000 in reserve funds from Pacific Mutual Insurance Company, and WHEREAS, the City has budgeted $84/employee/month for employee insurance NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there is hereby appropriated for expenditure in 1981 from unanticipated revenue in the Self-Insurance Fund, the sum of TWO HUNDRED FORTY-ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS ($241,930) This ordinance is declared to be necessary for the immediate preser- vation of the public peace, health and safety Therefore, the City Council hereby determines that an emergency does exist, requiring the immediate passage of this ordinance, and this ordinance is therefore enacted, pur- suant to Section 6, Article II of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins, as an emergency ordinance and shall become effective upon its passage Introduced, considered favorably by 7 members of the City Council upon reading, finally passed as an emergency ordinance and ordered pub- lished this 6th day of October A D 981 i / a or ATTEST �City Clerk r\
