HomeMy WebLinkAbout132 - 10/21/1980 - AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO ELECTIONS - TO ORDINANCE NO 132 , 1980 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RELATING TO ELECTIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That Section 9-3 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins relating to compensation of election Judges be, and the sane hereby is, amended by deleting from said section the words and figures "Thirty Dollars ($30 00)" and by substituting therefor the words and figures "Forty Dollars ($40 00) " Section 2 That Section 9-6 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins relating to rental of polling places, be, and the same hereby is, amended by deleting from said section the words and figures "Fourteen Dollars ($14 00)" and by substituting therefor the words and figures "Twenty Dollars ($20 00) " Section 3 That Section 9-7 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows "There are hereby created fifty-four (54) election precincts in the City of Fort Collins to be known and designated as follows and with polling places within such precincts as follows Precinct No Polling Place/Address 1 Century 21, Cottonwood Plaza - 1415 No College Avenue 2 Volunteer Clearing House - 401 Linden Street 3 Holy Family School - North Whitcomb and Cherry Street 4 Calvary Baptist Church - 1401 West Vine Drive 5 Fire Station No 2 - City Park 6 Putnam School - 1400 Maple Street 7 Fullana School - 220 North Grant 8 Washington School - 223 South Shields Street 9 Dunn School - 501 South Washington Street 10 County Courthouse - 200 West Oak Street 11 Fort Collins Community Pool - 805 East Drake Road 52 Collindale Club House - 1441 East County Road #40 53 Southside Baptist Church - 620 West Horsetooth Road 54 Shepardson Elementary School - 1501 Springwood Drive" Section 4 That Section 9-8 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows "§9-8 Precinct map The boundaries of the election precincts as herein created in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, are hereby fixed and established as shown on the map entitled District-Precinct Map dated October 7, 1980, -2- which map accompanies this ordinance and is hereby made a part hereof In the event the boundaries of the City of Fort Collins are enlarged adjoining any precinct, the existing boundaries between precincts shall be extended in a straight line into the additional terri- tory so that duly annexed lands are added to the adjoining precinct " Section 5 That Section 9-9 of the Code of the city of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows 2§9-9 Districts for election of Council members Pursuant to Section 1 of Article II of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins, the city is hereby divided into four (4) districts, from each of which one (1) Councilmember will be elected at the general city election to be held on April 7, 1981 Such districts are designated as District No 1 , District No 2, District No 3, and District No 4 and are delineated on the Council District-Precinct Map dated October 7, 1980, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof " Introduced, considered favorably on first reading and ordered pub- lished this 7th day of October, A D 1980, and to be presented for final passage on the 21st day of October, A D 1 J�24 At�iS-VANYj.
