HomeMy WebLinkAbout027 - 03/16/1982 - AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 118 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS r� i ORDINANCE NO 27, 1982 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 118 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BEING A PART OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE INSOFAR AS IT RELATES TO MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that the public interest can and will be served by encouraging a variety of land uses in the City's core area, and WHEREAS, the Council desires to maintain the residential integrity of the core area, and WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that the public interest would be served by providing for a special review of the development of multiple-family dwellings in the R-M and R-H zoned areas of the City NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS Section 1 That §118-43 (R-M Medium Density Residential District) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended by the addition thereto of a subsection (I ) to read as follows §118-43 (I) Multiple-Family Dwellings The development of multiple-family dwellings shall require the ap- proval of the Planning and Zoning Board The Board shall hold a public hearing concerning the proposed development of multiple-family dwellings The decision of the Board shall be based on the adminis- trative guidelines for the development of multiple-family dwellings This provision shall apply to the initial construction of multiple- family dwellings and the conversion of other structures to multiple- family dwellings Section 2 That §118-44 (R-H Density Residential District) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, amended by the addition of a subsection (J) to read as follows §118-44 (J) Multiple-Family Dwellings The development of multiple-family dwellings shall require the ap- proval of the Planning and Zoning Board The Board shall hold a public hearing concerning the proposed development of multiple-family dwellings The decision of the Board shall be based on the adminis- trative guidelines for the development of multiple-family dwellings This provision shall apply to the initial construction of multiple- e family dwellings and the conversion of other structures to multiple- family dwellings Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub- lished this 16th day of Feb , A D 1982, and to be presented for final passage on the 16th day of march A D 1982 C, ATTEST Mayor City Clerk Passed and adopted on final reading this 16th day of March 1982 Ma or ATTEST City Clerk
