OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REPEALING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE V, SECTION 13,
AS IT RELATES TO CAMPAIGN EXPENDITURES
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins presently has in effect an ordinance
which sets a limit on the total amount which can be expended in the aid of
a candidate' s campaign, and
WHEREAS, ordinances of this type have been found unconstitutional by
the U S Supreme Court, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins believes it to be in
the best interest of the residents of the City of Fort Collins to repeal
said ordinance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Chapter 9, Article V, Section 13 (Limits) be, and it hereby
is, repealed
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered pub-
lished this 6th day of Aril , A D 1982, and to be presented for final
passage on the 20th day of April , A D , 1982
