HomeMy WebLinkAbout063 - 07/03/2019 - AMENDING SECTION 38-2 OF THE CITY CODE AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE — r t n ORDINANCE NO 63, 1979 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 38-2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE BUILDING BOARD OF APPEALS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows Section 1 That Sec 204 (a) of Section 38-2 (A) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and it hereby is, amended so as to read "Sec 204 (a) In order to determine the suitability of alternate materials or alternate methods of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the provisions of this Code, there shall be and is hereby created a Building Board of Appeals consisting of five (5) regular members and two (2) alternate members who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction In addition to such members, the Chief Building Inspector and the Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau shall be ex-officio members of the Board without vote The Chief Building Inspector shall act as secretary of the Board " Section 2 That Sec 204 (b) of Section 38-2 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins be, and it hereby is, amended so as to read "(b) The five (5) members of the Building Board of Appeals shall be appointed by the City Council and shall serve for a term of four (4) years at the pleasure of the Council Alternate members shall serve for a term of two (2) years Members shall serve without pay The appointment of any member may be terminated for non-attendance to duties and for cause " 1 1 Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered published this 5th day of June , A D 1979, and to be presented for final passage the 3rd day of July A D 1979 Mayor ATTEST City Clerk Passed and adopted on final reading this 3rd day of July, A D 1979 ATTEST City Clerk 7 -2-
