OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING SECTION 50-2 (A)
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
INSOFAR AS IT RELATES TO AMENDMENTS
AND ADDITIONS TO THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE
AND THE APPLICATION OF FLAMMABLE FINISHES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Section 50-2 (A) (27) of the Code of the City of Foit Collins
be, and it hereby is , amended so as to read as follows
' (27) Article 14
(a) Section 14 102 Deleted
(b) Section 14 202 (d) Add the following
EXCEPTION
Small jobs , if no larger than the size
or area of a quarter panel , may be painted
outside the booth if it is not a continuous
operation and the following conditions are
adhered to
(quarter panel or approyimately 10 sq ft
area)
W The area must be a minimum of twenty
(20) feet from any open flame , such
as heat torch, pilot lights , and all
or any ignition sources
(ii) The area to be used is provided with
mechanical ventilation to the outside
of the building , per Mechanical Code
(iii) All electrical wiring within the 20 '
area is maintained in proper and safe
condition per the National Electrical
Code
(iv) "No Smoking" signs posted per Uniform
Fire Code , Section 14 103 , within
20 ' of the area "
Introduced , considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 21st day of August A D 1979 , and to be presented
for final passage on the 4th day of September , A D 1979
