ORDINANCE NO 103 1979, BEING AN ORDINANCE
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING RESERVE FUNDS IN THE WATER FUND
OF THE CITY FOR PAYMENT OF EXPENSES OF DESIGNATED WATER PROJECTS
WHEREAS, an annual budget for the City' s Water Fund for 1979 was
heretofore approved by the Council and an annual appropriation ordinance
for 1979 was adopted providing for expenditure from said fund for particu-
lar purposes specified in the budget, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council additional expenditures from
the Dater Fund in excess of those appropriated in the 1979 annual appropri-
ation ordinance will be necessary to pay the costs of certain water
projects, and
WHEREAS, reserves accumulated in prior years exist in the Water Fund,
and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins provides that the Council , by ordinance, may authorize payment of
expenses from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditures in the annual ap-
propriation ordinance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the sum of Four Million Eight Hundred Fifty-One Thousand
Dollars ($4 ,851 ,000 00) be, and the same hereby is appropriated from
accumulated reserves of the Water Fund for expenditure as follows
