OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING RESERVE FUNDS IN THE SEWER FUND
OF THE CITY FOR PAYMENT OF DESIGNATED EXPENSES
VIHEREAS, an annual budget for the City's Sewer Fund for 1979 was
heretofore approved by the Council and an annual appropriation ordinance
for 1979 was adopted providing for expenditure from said fund for particu-
lar purposes specified in the budget, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council additional expenditures from
the Sewer Fund in excess of those appropriated in the 1979 annual appropri-
ating ordinance will be necessary to pay the costs of certain expenses
properly payable out of the Sewer Fund, and
WHEREAS, reserves accumulated in prior years exist in the Sewer Fund,
and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins provides that the Council , by ordinance, may authorize payment of
expenses from reserves accumulated in prior years, notwithstanding that
such reserves were not appropriated for expenditures in the annual ap-
propriation ordinance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the sum of One Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1 ,200,000 00) be, and the same hereby is appropriated from accumulated
reserves of the Sewer Fund for expenditure as follows
Sludge Disposal $1 ,200,000
Introduced considered favorably on first reading , and ordered
published this 21st day of August D 1979, and to be presented
