BE IT ORDAINED by THE COUNCIL OF 1hE CITY OF FORT COLLIiiS as follows
Section 1 Tnat Section 3205 (c) of the Uniform Building Code, 1976
Edition be, ana the same hereby is, amended to real as follows
"§3205 (c) Ventaiataon Where deeinec' necessary by the Building
Official due to atmospneric or cla,riatac conditions ,
enclosed attics and enclosed rafter spaces formed where
ceilings are applied directly to the underside of
roof rafters, sr,all have cross ventilation for each
separate space Dy ventilating openings protected against
the entrance of rain and snov, Fhe net free ventilating
area shall not be less than 1/150 of the at ea of the
space ventilated , except that the area may be 1/300
providec' at least fifty percent (50%) of the required
ventilatirca area is provided by ventilators located in
the upper portion of the space to oe ventilated at least
three feet above cave or cornice vent with the balance of
the required ventilation provided b� eave or cornice
vents
Where eave or cornice vents are used to prcvade the
reduared ventilation of corbustaule attic spaces, vent
openings snall not be located within three feet measured
lateraliv above window or door openings in the wall of
the story immediately below
EXCEPTION
1 ) Grouo R, Division 3 Occupancies
2) In Group R , Division I apartment occupancies the
prohibited eave or cornice vent location small apply
only to those vindor-s and noors tnat lead frcra a
litchen area or trcn a room containing a fuel burning
boiler or central heating plant "
