OF THE COUNCIL OF ThE CITY Ov FORT COLLINS
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROH ACCUMULATED RESERVES
IN THE SEWER UTILITY FUND FOR STORM DRAINACE PURPOSES
WHEREAS, an urgent reed exists to undert 0 e storm drainage basin
studies throughouL the City in order to permit the City to reasonably plan
for the design and construction of a storm drainage system throughout the
City, and
WHEPEAS, in addition, it is appropriate that the Spring Creek Pre-
limirlary ano Right-of-Way Plans be concluded as soon as possible and
coordinated with storm drainage studies, and
WhEREAS, the Storm Drainage Board and the Water Board have recommended
that One Hundred Thousand Dollars Q100,000 00) be transferred from the
Sever Utility Fund to be used for the following purposes
Fox Meadows Basin $20,000 00
Foothills Easin $$30,000 00
Sprinq Creek Basin 05,000 00
Sprina Creek Preliminary
& Right-of-Way Plans S25,OCO 00, and
WHEPEAS, the expenditure of such funds was not anticipated at the time
of preparation of the anruel budget for 1979 and accorainaly such funds
were not appropriated for experditure in 109, and
WK EPFAS, the City has accumulated in orior years unappropriated
reserves in the Sever Utility Fund which tf - Council can autnorrze expend-
ing for such purposes pursuant to Section 8, Article V of the Charter of
the City of Fo t Ccllins
NOW, THEPEFO°E, BE IT ORDPINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT

Section 2 That the City Nandger be, and he hereby is, authorized
ano directed to expend said sums upon satisfactory evidence of the comple-
tion of the stupies and Sprinq Creek Preliminary and Right-of-lvay Plans
